MLK / César Chávez Teach-In for Justice

The MLK/César Chávez Teach-in at UCI Law provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, students, alumni, local attorneys and interested community members to come together to discuss opportunities to advocate for justice in a variety of legal practices. Reception to follow with light refreshments.

UCI Law is excited to bring together a community of justice-minded individuals for an in-person opportunity to learn and discuss current issues in public interest law. The annual MLK, Jr. Teach-In has returned from a pandemic pause on the Cesar Chavez holiday. As always, there will be panels discussing the efforts of community organizers and activists to address racism and inequality in the U.S. Panels will also look to the future of legal movements with discussions of civil rights, human rights and the rule of law.

The reception following the panels will bring together attendees in an outdoor setting to continue conversations about justice in our community and beyond.

MCLE credit will be available for some sessions for members of the California Bar. Additional speakers are yet to be announced.
